Welcome to the Pauline Evangelism
course. We will be investigating the unique career of the Apostle Paul and looking at the various aspects of his philosophy and the events that formed his faith and walk with the Lord. We will also look at
his missionary journeys as well as his imprisonment for the sake of the Gospel. When we think of the Apostle Paul, we think of a life uniquely touched and changed by God. Here was a man who followed the letter
of the law and took on the responsibility of persecuting Christians and having them arrested as he viewed them as a blight on society, which must be extinguished.
In the course of events, as he was on his way
to deliver more Christians to the authorities, the Lord got his attention, which he has a way of doing when we are walking in a path that is contrary to his will for our life. That day was a turning point not only
in Paul's life but also in the life of the church then and now. Paul's conversion is likely the most dynamic testimony in all of the New Testament. Not all of us have a "road to Damascus experience" but
apparently this was necessary to interrupt Paul's inherent intentions.
As a result, he went from Saul, a persecutor, to Paul, a proclaimer of the Good News. His transformation is indicative of that which
the disciples themselves went through before and after the death of Christ and much like the pattern our lives should follow once we have become totally committed to Christ ourselves.
After God's intervention
and pivotal experience, he went on to become an apostle of the church and the writer of two thirds of the New Testament. He proves the point that one touch from God can forever change a person's life.
It is our prayer that your life will also never be the same as you examine his inspiring life.
