Course Description:
This course provides the
practices, processes, and habits of
effective public preaching. Key topics
include presentation and communication
skills, organizing a sermon, contemporaneous
speaking, and connecting with an audience.
Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students
will:
1. Be exposed to examples of
excellent preaching;
2. Understand the priorities
and processes of sermon topic choice;
3. Understand the process of
sermon preparation;
4. Be exposed to
communication principles that foster
audience connection;
5. Have had the opportunity
to preach contemporaneously;
6. Have had the opportunity
to deliver a formal sermon.
