BibleGateway.com  (www.biblegateway.com) is a free service for reading and researching Scripture online--all in the language or translation of your choice (which includes the Bible in 50 different versions as well as in 35 different languages).  It provides advanced tools you can use to search the Bible by keywords or verse, as well as other tools to enhance your study of the Bible. 

E-Sword (www.e-sword.net) e-Sword is a free software package that offers multiple bible translations, commentaries, and other biblical resources. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package.  This is a great resource for additional bible and bible-related sources. 

Materials may also be supplemented by additional readings.

Course Description:

This course provides the practices, processes, and habits of effective public preaching. Key topics include presentation and communication skills, organizing a sermon, contemporaneous speaking, and connecting with an audience.

Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:                                                                                 

1. Be exposed to examples of excellent preaching;

2. Understand the priorities and processes of sermon topic choice;

3. Understand the process of sermon preparation;

4. Be exposed to communication principles that foster audience connection;

5. Have had the opportunity to preach contemporaneously;

6. Have had the opportunity to deliver a formal sermon.
