Course Description:
This course
examines the operations of ministries that
exist to care for homeless and neglected
orphans in less developed and developing
countries. Key topics include the
organization, funding and operations of
orphanages, orphan care and adoption issues,
and global orphan security issues.
Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:
1) Learn of
God’s scriptural mandate to care for
orphans.
2) Learn
about how the Aids epidemic is affecting
children worldwide.
3) Learn
about the adoption process
4) Learn
about legal issues of adoption
5) Learn
steps to creating a non-profit ministry
6) Learn
writing and receiving grants.
