Course Description:
This course explores the history of Europe and its influence on contemporary life. Key topics include the history of Europe during ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, and modern periods.

 

Course Goals and Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will:

1. Understand the framework, structure and key events of European history;

2. Understand the cultures and customs of modern European nations in their historical context;

3. Be familiar with the human drama underlying European history;

5. Have developed an in-depth interest in aspects of a limited period of European history;

6. Be able to relate historical events to current issues and problems.
