Todd Wieland is the founder and president of Ames Christian University, a Christian liberal arts college based in Naples, Florida. The school offers Bachelors and Masters degrees in areas of Christian doctrine, service and education online.

Mr. Wieland has been involved with higher education for almost fifteen years. He has spent the past five years in online education developing Web based courses and virtual university projects.

He holds a Bachelors degree in economics and management with a minor in language arts and a Master of Business Management with a specialty in International Business, including specialties in cultural, language and area studies. He has also studied in the area of Information Science and Higher Education Administration at the doctoral level.

Mr. Wieland is the author of The Future of College, a book devoted to emerging trends in higher education, and The Great Ideas, an e-book devoted to critical thinking and study skills. In addition, he is the principal author of several Web sites, including VirtualStudent.com, a higher education site, and Race-Week.com, a motorsports media project.
