Organizational structure is one of the most unglamorous aspects of ministry or church life. That is, until
you are overwhelmed with unmet needs, upset people, non-completed tasks, and more people than space. In those situations and many more, the need for organization – for a strategy that brings together the purposes,
people, and resources of a group – is not only critical, it can actually be exciting. Organization and administration comes very naturally to some people; to others (like me) it feels like a trip to the
dentist. But even if nobody ever accused you of being a details nut, you can develop the conceptual, task, and people skills necessary to harness the incredible power of God's people to accomplish God's
work. We will pursue those skills in this course. |
