Kim
Renga
Growing up in a musical family, Kim
began her pursuit of the arts in her
youth
performing in orchestral and vocal
ensembles. Originally from New
Jersey, Kim now lives in Southern
California where she is a specialist in
higher education and instructional
design. Kim earned her MM in
Contemporary Music Theory-Composition.
She received her BA in Music
(Theory-Composition) and Liberal Studies
from California State University,
Fullerton
where she holds a position as a Special
Consultant for the Music Department and
University Learning Center. Along
with active service roles for The
Society of Composers, Inc., Campus
Crusade for Christ International and
former membership with The Society for
Music Theory, Kim has received notable
recognition for her work in music and
education including The Brenner Memorial
Fine Arts Scholarship Award for Music,
The Roger Joseph Memorial Scholarship
Award for Liberal Studies and
substantial candidate positions for
The
National Academy of Recording Arts and
Sciences (NARAS)
Scholarship Award for Music Education
and The South Coast Higher Education
Council Scholarship Award for Education.
Kim's work focuses on cultural and
instructional development through the
creation and design of college-level
curriculum in the Arts and Humanities.
As Developer and Director of the
Ames-Grove Institute of the Arts,
Kim also currently serves as the
principal program developer,
instructional designer and writing
instructor at
Ames
Christian University (www.ameschristian.org).
Kim's passion is to help others discover
and walk in their full creative
potential through the power of God. She
joyfully serves the Lord and belongs to
Family Life Community Church in Anaheim,
CA where she gladly shares her testimony
of God's love and deliverance from
emotional and relational captivity |
