Course Description:

Issues of right and wrong, absolutism and relativism, compromise and commitment make up the individual's moral philosophy. These issues are investigated in a historical and contemporary context from a biblical frame of reference.


Course Goals and Objectives:

1. Define tenets of moral philosophy in terms of right and wrong;

2. Compare and contrast moral philosophy from a humanist and Christian world view;

3. Observe consequences of compromise in individual and societal moral philosophy;

4. Be exposed to a biblical view of morality;

5. Recognize the nature and difficulties of observing moral philosophy in any age;

6. Define a personal statement of moral philosophy.
