Course Description:
An introduction to the scientific foundations of the physical world. This course provides an overview of the physical concepts and processes that govern  the world around us.

Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:
1. Understand the basis of science and the scientific method
2. Understand motion in one and two dimensions, including Newtonian Motion
3. Understand gravity
4. Differentiate between heat and temperature
5. Be introduced to the concepts and properties of sound
6. Understand static and current electricity, magnetism and electromagnetic induction
7. Be introduced to the nature and properties of light
8. Understand basic atomic structure and nuclear reactions
9. Be introduced to Quantum Mechanics.
