Assignment 1: Wellness Inventory

One of our objectives in this course is to study the "mind-body connection."

What is the "mind-body connection" to you?

Do you believe in the connection between the mind and the body?

Is it a legitimate topic, especially in a spiritual or Christian framework?

Assignment:

Be sure to acquire and skim the course texts. We will be using them with the remaining assignments.

Your assignment for this week is to develop your own wellness inventory. It can be introspective and personal and can draw on external resources as well.

Visit a few online personality testing sites:

Google's Personality Tests Page

Be sure to consider these important issues:
Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist?
How well do you relate to stress?
How are your nutrition habits? How about exercise?
What do you like most and least about yourself, especially your personality?
Do you believe that you are pursuing God's purpose for your life?

Please develop your own inventory of wellness, save it in a document, and submit it to me by email. (This material will be held in the strictest confidence.)
