Following in much the same spirit as Assignment 4, this assignment's components (linear and quadratic equations, etc.) can be intimidating for math students.

Our purpose is not to grind numbers, but is rather to understand how mathematics work. For this assignment, we will investigate another excellent Web resource for learning pre-calculus functions  (those included in this assignment).

Site Review: Visual Calculus

For this assignment, please carefully review the helpful Web presentation called Visual Calculus. It is a collection of tutorials, examples and links related to mathematical functions. As you review the site, be sure follow the links and try your hand at solving the demo and sample problems.

Develop a review of the site that also reports your experience with his methods.

Your report should include:

• An overview of the site, its purpose, layout, appeal, and message
• A detailed report of the site's contents and topics
• Your experience with the site's mathematical problems and challenges. In this section, be sure to report your experience with trying the demo problems, tutorials, etc. Report on what you learned that you didn't know before (especially about functions). Be honest. If the pages do not help you better understand mathematical principles, feel free to say so. There will be no penalty for disagreeing with the assignment!
