Course Description:
This course provides an overview of statistics and probability. Topics include concepts of data and probability, methods of displaying and describing data, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling and sampling distributions, estimation and hypothesis testing.

Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:
1. Be able to interpret recognize and interpret data sets using appropriate statistical tools;
2. Be familiar with the concepts and calculations of probabilities;
3. Be able to identify probability distributions and their key components;
4. Be familiar with the purposes and methods of sampling and resulting data types;
5. Be able to compute confidence interval and sample sizes
6. Be familiar with hypothesis-testing procedures.
