This course is devoted to studying and practicing minstry among a very special group that was particularly close to Jesus' own heart during his earthly ministry.

Although He was God in the flesh, and could have spent his time with the high and mighty, His purpose was always to heal, to deliver, and to rescue the poor, the abandoned, and the downtrodden.

Our approach will be to seek out Jesus' approach from the scriptures, observe it in the world around us, and apply it to our own lives and ministry. Necessarily, this can be an intense experience.

It is not my intention that everyone who takes this course should become exactly the same kind of minister to the poor. Rather, I hope and pray that you will learn more about your own unique personal calling, observe needs in areas God has shown you, and become better informed about resources available to meet those needs.
