Course Description:
This course emphasizes Christ's mission to touch the untouchable and to love the unlovely. Key topics focus on ministry response to substance abuse, sexual and emotional abuse, poverty, homelessness and physical deprivation, and cross-cultural and interfaith ministry.

Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:
1. Have read and discussed Jesus Christ's position on ministry to the poor and to "sinners."
2. Understand the Christian's obligation to lift up the less fortunate;
3. Possess a framework for ministering to specific people groups;
4. Develop a personal strategy for ministering to the broken.
