Course Description:
Skeptical
objections to Christianity and the gospel
are presented and examined. Key claims of
the Christian faith are reviewed for their
historical, moral, and scientific
accuracy.
Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students
will:
1.
Be exposed to common objections to
Christianity raised by skeptics;
2.
Have read and discussed rational responses
to specific skeptical objections;
3.
Recognize the difference between the
skeptic and the hostile cynic;
4.
Have read and discussed the basis for key
general claims of Christian faith;
5.
Be exposed to cases of skeptics’
conversions to faith;
6.
Develop a personal response to skeptics
they encounter.
