Any course devoted to the study of the bible is necessarily about knowledge; but it is also about transformation, as the bible is our chief source of knowledge about God's transforming power.

So as you complete the assignments and measurements for this course, please feel free to emphasize only your growing knowledge. But also be sure to notice and integrate ways that God is changing your heart, your outlook, and ways that He is empowering you to make a difference in your world.

It is almost impossible to adequately survey the New Testament, as each book could itself be a stand alone course. However, as our assignment is to do a survey, it will be necessary for us to pick and choose the content of the course. It is like trying to select the best diamonds in a world-class diamond mine! Please forgive me if I leave out some of your favorite parts or stories, or if you differ with my points of emphasis.
