Course Description:

This course is designed with the idea that problem areas motivate people to seek counseling. Christian Counseling is a process by which a person is assisted to behave in a more rewarding manner addressing life’s problem or challenges from a Biblical perspective called Christian Counseling.

Course Goals and Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:

1        Have a working knowledge of some common problems which cause persons to seek counseling.

2        Students will be able to identify certain crisis situations and address the crisis from a Christian perspective.

3        Make a decision regarding further specialized training in the Christian counseling field.

4        Establish personal limits for the development of a counseling relationship

5        Develop some skills in applying  basic Christian Counseling

6        Begin to see the dynamics of being in professional-therapeutic relationships with those receiving counseling.
