(Used as an adjective). A descriptive term for persons or organizations or plans or activities of any nationality, denomination, or confession which are based on Christ's Great Commission and which are actively working to obey it, personally and corporately.
Great Commission Christians.
Believers in Jesus Christ who are aware of the implications of Christ's Great Commission, who have accepted its personal challenge in their lives and ministries, and who are seeking to influence the Body of Christ to implement it.
Interdenominational. Occurring between or among or common to several or many different denominations; accountable to several denominations, or partially or completely controlled by them.
Mandates. Seven basic commands, known collectively as the Great Commission, given by Christ to his disciples, namely the imperatives Receive! Go! Witness! Proclaim! Disciple! Baptize! Train!
Outreach. Is another name for mission, and often refers to just one aspect or program. discipling or evangelistic endeavors, of giving every people and population on earth the opportunity to hear the gospel with
understanding and to become disciples of Christ.
People movement.
The spread of the gospel among a people in such a way that all individuals in that group are presented with an opportunity to know Christ; usually accompanied by significant response.
Reached.
Having heard the gospel, understanding it, and having had the opportunity to respond by joining an indigenous church or fellowship of one's own culture.
Reached persons.
Individuals who have had an adequate opportunity to hear the gospel and to respond to it, and also to contact a church of their own cultureand to meet and join in fellowship with other believers.
Relational Evangelism. Is sharing the good news of God with another person, or with a small group of people. This can happen when we share our faith with friends, relatives, neighbors and business associates. It is
witnessing in word and action to the transforming love of God in Christ with integrity and compassion in personal, church and public realms.
Unevangelized persons.
Individuals who have had no adequate opportunity to hear
the gospel or respond to it; persons who are unaware of Christianity, Christ, and the gospel; those who have never heard the name of Jesus.
Unreached.
Never having heard the gospel nor having had the opportunity to contact an indigenous church or fellowship of one's own culture.
Unreached persons.
Individuals who have, or have had, no adequate opportunity to hear the gospel, or to respond to it, or to meet and have fellowship with other believers.
Unchurched adult. An adult (18 or older) who
has not attended a Christian church service within the past six months, not including a holiday service (such as Easter or Christmas) or a special event at a church (such as a wedding or funeral).
Witnessing: is sharing your own faith story. It is the normal term for the informal, spontaneous, unorganized sharing of their faith by individual Christians in circumstances they do not control.
World A.
In the 3-tier schema or representation of the Earth, the unevangelized World, i.e. the world of all unevangelized individuals.
World B.
In the 3-tier schema or representation of the Earth, the Evangelized Non-Christian World, i.e. all non-Christians who have nevertheless become evangelized.
World C. In the 3-tier schema or representation of
the Earth, the Christian who have become evangelized.
World evangelization.
The term used for the goal of reaching the entire world with the gospel of Christ, or of giving every people and population on Earth the opportunity to hear the gospel with understanding and to become disciples of Christ.
